Throughout my career I have been intentionally exposed to a variety of standards in infection control or lack there of that was neither in my control nor to my liking. This practice is no different today in that the day-to-day perspective of infection control is subjective to the individual making the decisions. This CE webinar is a small sample of what I have encountered and collected from the dental teams I interact with and what they understand to be true in their policies and what their role is in infection control, patient care and safety.

The ultimate goal of this CE webinar is:
• Update your understanding from the standards taken for you while you were in school and apply to real life situations.
• To help the dental community create higher degree of awareness on the benefits of the products available thru this educational exchange and the cooperation of your local manufacturer.
• To implement an effective system in your office to minimize your risk of ineffective infection control practices.
• Devise a written protocol from hand washing to instrument processing and surface disinfection that will minimize your risk of exposure and contamination.
